Holiday Caroling Party to Benefit Georges River Land Trust

Let your holiday spirit shine through by joining the Georges River Land Trust for caroling and holiday cheer on Sunday, December 16 at 6 pm. After caroling, guests will be treated to a hot soup dinner and refreshments. Tickets to the event benefit the Georges River Land Trust and are $25 for Land Trust members and $30 for non-members. Tickets must be purchased in advance either on-line at www.grlt.org/revelryevents.html or by calling (207) 594-5166.

The evening will start with caroling from Main Street through the neighborhoods of 19th century Thomaston. Leading thecaroling will be Tony Antolini who is the Artistic Director for the renowned Down
East Singers since 1991. Antolini specializes in Russian choral music and is passionate about helping people express their voice through music. Antolini lives on the St. George River and in 2002 worked with the Land Trust to protect 35 acres and a heron rookery through a permanent conservation easement.

The après singing party will be hosted by Carolyn Whitaker and Carl Danielson at their home in Thomaston. Their beautiful Greek Revival house was built in 1852 by a sea captain, and it will be decked out in an array of festive holiday decorations. Guests will be treated to food and refreshments to warm the body and spirit in this joyful atmosphere.

This is the final 2012 Revelry for the River event sponsored by Georges River Land Trust to celebrate 25 years of conservation. It was such a success, the Land Trust will be hosting 17 new Revelry for the River events in 2013. For further information on the Georges River Land Trust, its programs and upcoming events visit www.grlt.org or contact them at info@grlt.org or (207) 594-5166.
