Ellsworth, Maine - The Grand presents the next of the New York Metropolitan Opera series of high-definition simulcast performances- Mozart’s “La Clemenza di Tito” on Saturday, December 1st at 1pm with an approximate running time of 3 hours and 15 minutes.
The virtuosic Elīna Garanča sings Sesto in Mozart’s drama set in ancient Rome. Giuseppe Filianoti is the noble Tito and Barbara Frittoli is Vitellia, in this handsome revival of one of the composer’s final masterpieces. Harry Bicket conducts.
Other cast members include lyric soprano Lucy Crowe as Servilia, Sesto’s sister, mezzo-soprano Kate Lindsay as Annio, Sesto’s friend and bass Oren Gradus as Publio.
