NEW CHRISTMAS CD RELEASE!
Bring the family for an afternoon of “gospelized” Christmas carols and R&B- and doo-wop flavored arrangements of popular holiday favorites. Numbers range from spirited versions of familiar songs such as “Go Tell It on the Mountain,” “Joy to the World,” and “O Holy Night” to the less familiar but no less inspiring “Great Day in December” and “I Pray on Christmas.” High-energy gospel tunes are balanced with introspective carols such as a Temptations arrangement of “Silent Night” and a Drifters-inspired version of “White Christmas.”

Formerly called "The Roots & Gospel Project," this South Berwick-based group is now called
ProjectMusicWorks. Come celebrate the release of their new CD - produced with over $51,000 raised on their KickStarter campaign! More information can be found at: www.projectmusicworks.org

The Sweetback Sisters' Country Christmas Sing-Along Spectacular is a wide-ranging program of holiday music, from well-loved Christmas carols to classic winter-themed songs to lesser-known country gems. All the songs are presented with the Brooklyn-based band's  signature mix of harmony singing, rollicking Telecaster twang and twin fiddling along with a healthy dose of holiday cheer. Lyric sheets are provided so that everyone can join in the singing!

The NYC-based Sweetback Sisters sing country songs in close, surrogate-sister harmony decked out in their signature matching dresses. Their repertoire combines several of the Sisters' passions -- country music from before they were born and new interpretations of those traditions -- to create a fresh take on what it means to be country.

Under the direction of our local fiddle heroine Lauren Rioux, the Yulegrass shows have been some of the most memorable and highly lauded productions at OLS. This year's multi-denominational show, with an exciting new lineup,  will take a memorable musical journey into the heart of the season, performing both old favorites and novel winter songs.  Order early - this show customarily sells out.

The Yulegrass Band is comprised of elegantly expressive violinist and vocalist Lauren Rioux; Grammy-winner, bluegrass multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Tim O’Brien; West Coast guitar master and singer Scott Law (Darol Anger's Republic of Strings), brilliant fiddle talent and banjoist Brittany Haas (Crooked Still), and dynamic Vermont bassist Corey DiMario (Crooked Still).
