Blue Hill, Maine - Blue Hill Public Library will be presenting a “Wee Folk Workshop” on Saturday, November 17th at 10:30 AM. Children ages 6 to 12 are invited to create miniature furnishings just the right size for a mouse, fairy or other tiny friend. This workshop was inspired by the “Mouse House,” which will be on display in the Library’s Larchwood Room for the month of November. The Mouse House, created by local artist Nina Hartman, is a paper mache stump, full of mouse sized furnishings, including tables and chairs, rugs, dishes and even food items. It has its own lights inside, and is a perfect house for a mouse.
Supplies for the workshop will be provided; kids only need to bring their imaginations! Space is limited so reservations are required. To reserve a spot in the workshop, use the Library’s online calendar at www.bhpl.net or call Pat at 374-5515.
