RADIO DISNEY INVITES KIDS AND FAMILIES ACROSS THE COUNTRY

TO RING IN THE NEW YEAR AT ITS ANNUAL FAMILY-FRIENDLY

"NOON YEAR’S EVE" EVENTS ON DECEMBER 31

Radio Disney to Air "Top 50 of 2011,"

December 31 (7:00 p.m., ET/4:00 p.m., PT)

Radio Disney, the #1 radio network for kids, tweens, and families, invites listeners across the country to ring in the new year at its annual family-friendly "Noon Year's Eve" events taking place on December 31. The "Noon Year’s Eve" events, taking place in 19 markets, will welcome kids and families to their favorite locations including local zoos, museums or shopping centers for a family-friendly celebration that gives kids the opportunity to have all the fun of New Year’s Eve before their bedtime. 

Hosted by Radio Disney's local stations, the "Noon Year's Eve" events will feature the best songs of the year from Radio Disney’s "Top 50 of 2011," interactive entertainment and prizes. Many of the events will also feature special balloon drops and a countdown just for kids and families.

Radio Disney’s "Top 50 of 2011" will air Saturday, December 31 (7:00 p.m., ET/4:00 p.m., PT) featuring the most requested songs of 2011, with re-airings throughout New Year's Day. Hosted by Radio Disney on-air personalities Ernie D, Jake, Hallie, Candice, and Blake, the five-hour broadcast counting down the year will also feature interviews with listeners favorite artists like Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Cody Simpson and Willow Smith.
