Designed with stunning photography of the Maine coast and the vessels that call those waters home. The MaineSail Magazine will appeal to sailors and non-sailors alike. A magazine for all who love the ocean and it's lifestyle. The MaineSail Magazine is published quarterly by Shoot Maine Studios Publications out of Rockland, Maine. Shoot Maine Studios Publications is owned by Doug Mills from Rockland, Maine. Doug Mills is the son of an artist, the grandson and great grandson of Maine lighthouse keepers. He is a nautical photographer and author specializing in the historic tall ships that call Maine home. 

Doug started Shoot Maine Studios in 2007 and has created one of the largest collections of nautical photographs centered around the historic fleet of two and three masted schooners, which sail the Maine waters. Shoot Maine Studios also publishes The MaineSail Magazine. 


With over 40 years in the arts, Doug brings a wealth of artistic expression to his photography. His photos will transport you to a place where life is simple and the rugged unspoiled beauty will take your breath away.
