Boothbay Region Land Trust events for early May

Wednesday, May 1
Babes in the Woods
From 10 - 11 am, join Boothbay Region Land Trust at Oak Point Farm), 60 Samoset Rd, Boothbay Harbor.  Babes in the Woods meets once monthly throughout the year and is geared for children ages 2-5 with their families or caregivers. Participate in age-appropriate games, crafts, stories and other activities to connect to the natural world. Special emphasis is made on sensory exploration of ecological themes and usually includes a short and easy walk. Group meets inside the farmhouse at Oak Point Farm.

Saturday, May 11 
International Migratory Bird Day Birding Walk
From 7am – 9 am, join the Boothbay Region Land Trust at Lobster Cove Preserve, Eastern Ave, Boothbay Harbor.  Local birder and BRLT volunteer Nancy Bither will do an entertaining and informative birding walk in celebration of International Migratory Bird Day. May is the peak time of bird migration and many exciting species will be passing through our area on their way north. Birders of all levels are welcome. Wear sturdy shoes and bring binoculars or borrow a pair of ours.
