WINTER WEATHER ALERT: First Snow This Weekend Brings Out Winter Storm Watches To Area

WINTER WEATHER ALERT: National Weather Services out of Gray and Caribou have issued Winter Storm Watches for most of the area. This weekend brings our first snow of the season, snow could drop 6+ depending on track.

National Weather Service Gray, Caribou Statements:

...An Ocean Storm May Bring a Plowable Snow Saturday Afternoon
and Saturday Night...

.Intensifying low pressure will track across the Gulf of Maine
late Saturday and Saturday night. Snow will breakout across the
area during the afternoon and evening hours before tapering to
snow showers by Sunday morning. The heaviest snow is likely to
fall along the coast and Interstate 95 corridor...with amounts
tapering off quickly as you head west into the mountains and
Connecticut Valley. Some uncertainty remains on exact snow amounts
as slight changes in storm track will result in higher or lower
snow amounts across the area.
