Africa’s Resources: Who Wins, Who Loses?

The Camden Conference free Community Events Program continues its monthly Discussion Series offering participants an opportunity to explore some key issues of the vast African continent — all in preparation for the 2016 Camden Conference, The New Africa.

November’s facilitated discussions will address “Africa’s Resources: Who Wins, Who Loses?” at the Camden Public Library on Tuesday, November 3 at 7:00 p.m.,  at the  Belfast Free Library on Wednesday, November 4 at 6:30 p.m., and at the Rockland Public Library on Tuesday, November 10 at 6:00 p.m.. The series will run regularly on the first Tuesdays in Camden at 7:00 PM, first Wednesdays in Belfast at 6:30 p.m., and second Tuesdays in Rockland at 6:00 p.m.

December’s topic is “War and Reconciliation – Africa’s Dilemma,” and in January, the focus will be on “The New Africa: Challengesand Hope.”

Participants will have the opportunity to be part of a lively discussion based on selected readings and videos, which can be found at www.camdenconference.org.  All are encouraged to read and view the selections ahead of the discussion.

This free Community Events Discussion Series is offered in anticipation of the 29th Annual Camden Conference: The New Africa, February 19-21, 2016.
