Who's Way? Tzu-Wei!

Sea Dogs Win Another Walk-Off on Wild Pitch in 10th
Portland, Maine - Tzu-Wei Lin scored on a wild pitch with two outs in the bottom of the 10th, and the Sea Dogs (35-62) walked-off for the second straight night over the Trenton Thunder (51-45) with a 3-2 win on Tuesday night at Hadlock Field.

The Sea Dogs have now won five straight home games with walk-off victories and six of their last seven home wins have been walk-offs, dating back to May 23rd.

Lin tripled off of Mark Montgomery (L, 2-2) to begin the 10th inning, but after Manuel Margot and Carlos Asuaje both grounded out, it was left up to Sam Travis to try and drive in the winning run for the second straight night.  But he wouldn't have to as Montgomery threw a pitch in the dirt with two strikes that skipped past catcher Francisco Arcia and allowed Lin to score the winning run for the second night in a row.

For the seventh straight game, the Sea Dogs scored the first run.  With two on and two out in the
bottom of the second, Tzu-Wei Lin hit an opposite field RBI single to score Tim Roberson to give Portland a 1-0 lead.  The Sea Dogs added their second run in the third on a two-out, RBI double to right field off the bat of Tim Roberson to score Sam Travis and extend the lead to 2-0.

Justin Haley allowed just one hit through the first five innings, but in the Trenton sixth, Cito Culver reached on a strikeout-wild pitch to begin the inning.  After Rico Noel singled, Haley was lifted for Kyle Martin with two on and nobody out.  After Danny Oh fouled out, Jake Cave delivered an RBI single, then Ali Castillo quickly followed up with a sac fly to tie the game at two.

Haley went 5+ innings in the start, allowing two earned runs on two hits while walking none and striking out seven.  Trenton starter Kyle Haynes also went five innings and allowed two earned runs on six hits, walking two and striking out four.

Each team's bullpen held strong in the late innings.  Mark Montgomery worked four scoreless innings for Trenton and allowed just one baserunner on a bunt single by Carlos Asuaje.  After Kyle Martin worked two scoreless innings for Portland, Madison Younginer (W, 4-4) entered the game in the eighth and threw three perfect innings to keep the game locked at two.

The Sea Dogs will be going for their first series sweep today as they finish their series with Trenton, first pitch comes at 12:00 PM.  Danny Rosenbaum (0-1, 9.00) will make his third start for Portland, while Jaron Long (0-2, 4.09) takes the mound for Trenton.  Tickets are still available and can be purchased by phone at 207-879-9500 or online at seadogs.com.
