2015 Camden International Film Festival opens Call for Volunteers sponsored by Camden National Bank‏

Camden, Maine – The 2015 Camden International Film Festival is now seeking volunteers for the 11th annual Festival, held in Camden, Rockport and Rockland from September 17 to 20.

Camden National Bank is sponsoring the Festival Volunteer Program, whose 150 volunteers make the festival possible. Enthusiastic individuals are welcome to join the team, gaining experience in film festival planning, connecting with filmmakers and film industry leaders from around the world, seeing a selection of documentaries screened for the first time in New England, and joining local artists to transform barns and warehouses for CIFF parties.

There are many ways to help out, including ticket taking, welcoming attendees, event catering, publicity, and ushering. Organizers are also looking for dedicated volunteers to help before and after the festival weekend. Volunteers will be rewarded throughout the festival with free tickets to screenings, admission to the Festival’s closing night party, and further incentives based on the number of hours worked. Sign up for a four-hour shift or an entire weekend to earn a pass and participate in the movies, panels and parties.

“We are deeply grateful to Camden National Bank for sponsoring our volunteer program,” said CIFF Founder and Executive Director Ben Fowlie. “The bank’s commitment to community makes them the perfect partner for our growing Volunteer program, which is the heart and soul of our Festival weekend.”

“Camden National Bank is proud to offer our support to the Camden International Film Festival as the sponsor of its volunteer program,” said Joanne Campbell, executive vice president, risk management at Camden National Bank. “We believe in giving back to our local communities and have a strong commitment to volunteerism, so we feel that this sponsorship is a perfect fit and a great way for us to support the people that truly help make this festival happen every year.”

In addition to the usual benefits outlined in the link below, CIFF has a few other surprises up their sleeve for volunteers, such as trial memberships with SundanceNow Doc Club, sneak peek movie screenings, and free admission to selected screenings regardless of volunteer time commitment.
