Tall Ships at Rockland Today



Today, July 10th, is the Maine Windjammer Association's "Maine Windjammer Parade" for 2015.


This is one of the most historic annual parade of sails held in the USA, featuring vessels built as early as 1871 under full sail..  The entire windjammer fleet participates in an afternoon Parade of Sail past the mile-long Rockland Breakwater, starting around 2; in the afternoon,  providing spectators with stunning, close-up views of Maine’s fleet of tall ships.
This is your chance to see nearly a dozen of America's most historic schooners up close and personal.

Victory Chimes, 1900, and Stephen Taber the oldest schooner in the USA under continuous service launched 1871.
