Oceanside Girls Basketball February 1st Recap

Rockland, Maine - The Oceanside High School lady mariners hosted Medomak and Waterville in three games on Saturday afternoon. First game of the day was Oceanside freshmen taken on Medomak in what would be a 34-24 lady mariners win. Oceanside jv and varsity played Waterville in what would be split outcomes. Jv Oceanside lady mariners were able to secure a win by a score of 45-26. Things changed in the varsity game as Waterville were able to pull off a win by 35-33.


Oceanside scorers in the freshmen game were Sierra Beal 2pts, Olivia Staples 2pts, Lauren Hatch 2pts, Haley Montgomery 7pts, Bri White-Ortiz 9pts and 12pts for Elise L. Scorers for Medomak were Cassidy Taylor 2pts, Chelsea Ripley 4pts, Victoria 6pts and 12pts for Nicole O.

Scorers for Oceanside in the junior varsity game against visiting Waterville were Emma Lee 2pts, Jenna C. 3pts, Kate K. 4pts, Kelsey Brooks 5pts,  Jillian Brooks 6pts, Kaylee M. 8pts and Becca Boggs with 10pts. Waterville scorers were Rachel A. 2pts, Amica J. 2pts, Katie T. 2pts, Kaylyn T. 4pts, Gabby M. 8pts and Emma Christian with 8pts.

In the varsity there was a lot of back and forth with Waterville coming out on top by 35-33. Scorers for Oceanside in this game were Brooke Dugan 8pts, Emily Gould 8pts, MaKenna Brooks 7pts and 10pts for
Ashley Gardner. Waterville scorers were Jordan J. 10pts, Colleen O'Donnell 10pts, Fotini S. 3pts and Hannah Allen with 12pts.

Both teams played a great game on Saturday, February 1st.
