LiveSAFE Emergency Response Service Name Change

Brewer, Maine - On February 1, the LiveSAFE programs of Charles A Dean Memorial Hospital, Inland Hospital, Eastern Maine Medical Center, and Rosscare consolidated under one name, EMHS LiveSAFE.

Charles A Dean Memorial Hospital, Inland Hospital, Eastern Maine Medical Center, and Rosscare are members of EMHS. This name change is reflective of the system’s collective commitment to its patients and communities to provide the right care, at the right time, and in the right place. In addition, consolidating the name will also help resolve confusion among subscribers of the individual LiveSAFE programs, resulting from the multiple brand names.

Jennifer Maskala, EMHS LiveSAFE manager, who manages all four LiveSAFE programs from Rosscare’s office, says, “We have come to realize this consolidated management style of four differently branded programs has resulted in hard to understand messaging for our subscribers. Therefore, we decided to simplify by unifying our names under one common brand.”

Rosscare currently manages the administrative functions for the LiveSAFE programs for all four members, including billing and subscriber inquiries. Subscribers can still expect to receive the same great local service, and there will be no changes functionally to the overall LiveSAFE program. Calls will continue to be answered by LiveSAFE operators located at TAMC in Presque Isle.
