Thomaston, Maine - Under sunny conditions at the fields in Thomaston were perfect for the Oceanside Lady Mariners to host their annual soccer kick-off tourney where 12 teams took part on August 31st, 2013. You could not ask for a better day as there was sun and soccer actions. It was a great to see the teams working hard together before their season officially starts. Format of games were 25 minutes long and took place on three soccer fields.Teams taken part in this annual event were:

Erskine Academy (2 teams)
Camden Hills (2 teams)
Medomak Valley
Messalonskee
Oceanside

Winslow
Mt. View
The games started at 9am and finishing up at 3pm with awards being handed out. At 12pm there was a break in the action for lunch, juggling, pairs heading and shoot out competitions.

Medomak Valley: Sophie Cohen and Sami Griffen
Messalonskee: Amanda Knight and Cassidy C.
Winslow: Hillary and Calli L.
Mt. View: Alexis Strain and Jennui
Oceanside: Ashely Gardner and Kalsey Brooks
All the teams played really well and I can't to see how their seasons turn out. During the awards ceremony thanks were given to coaches, players, parents and grand parents along with boosters who ran the concession stand.
