Collins, King Announce Bar Harbor Airport Awarded $1.5 Million

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senators Susan Collins, the Ranking Member of the Senate Transportation Appropriations Subcommittee,  and Angus King today announced that that the Department of Transportation has awarded Hancock County–Bar Harbor Airport $1,557,090 in federal grant funding to begin construction of a new taxiway.

“Small regional airports, such as the Hancock County-Bar Harbor Airport, play an invaluable role in supporting Maine’s economy by providing greater access to our more rural areas,” said Senators Collins and King in a joint statement. “This funding will help make important improvements to maintain a safe operational environment at the airport.”
