International Award-winning Pianist Nobuyuki Tsujii to Perform

International Award-winning Pianist Nobuyuki Tsujii to Perform March 17, Rockport Opera House

Japanese pianist Nobuyuki Tsujii—affectionately known as “Nobu”–will perform a sumptuous program of well-known virtuosic works by two of the giants of pianism, Debussy and Chopin, each of whom created new sound worlds through their much-loved piano compositions.

Tsujii captured the hearts and imaginations of music lovers throughout the world with his gold medal-winning performances at the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition in 2009. Blind since birth, Nobu believes that “there are no barriers in the field of music.”

With expressive lyricism and astonishing technique, Nobu has performed sold-out concerts around the world, enchanting audiences in over 100 recital and concerto appearances in the last four years in North America, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. Catapulting to rock-star fame in Japan, Nobuyuki Tsujii’s sound has been called “pure and crystal-clear” by classical music critic Yukiko Hagiya.

  1. Hi! I am an avid fan of Mr. Nobuyuki Tsujii.
I saw him perform this recital in Seattle in January. He also performed it in Winnipeg, Canada.

May I point you to this page "Harry's High Note", for a collection of comments from the audience at the Winnipeg recital
