“Around the World in 14 Months” April 11
In 2011 Doug Sensenig and Jennifer Bell took their daughter Kate out of 8th grade for a 14-month journey around the world. They visited 26 countries and traveled by a variety of means, including a trans-Atlantic crossing on the Queen Mary II. On Thursday evening, April 11, at 7:00 pm at the Camden Public Library, they will show slides while discussing how they planned the journey, what they saw, and how it changed their lives. “We traveled by planes, trains, and automobiles with our 13 year old daughter for 14 months. Our ‘sailing’ consisted of crossing from NYC to Southampton on the Queen Mary. Our presentation will include slides of the places we visited, discussion of how we handled the finances and the planning, and how we educated our daughter. Major countries visited (more than 10 days) included England, France, Italy, Slovenia, Greece, Turkey, India, Nepal, Thailand, Cambodia, Australia and New Zealand. We also had significant stops in Croatia, Singapore and Fiji.”
