Rockland Taxi Company To Send Aid Convoy For Sandy Victims

Rockland Maine- Schooner Bay Taxi will be sending a convoy of vans filled with much needed items to aid in Sandy relief.  Chris Merritt the owner of Schooner Bay Taxi stated on Wednesday "We need your help! We want to fill 2 of our larger vans to with supplies to bring to the hard hit areas of New Jersey. We will have them stationed at Maritime Energys main office on Park Street in Rockland tomorrow starting at 8:00am. According to a gentleman down there, they need: bottled water, gatorade, cleaning supplies, baby wipes, baby formula, and non-perishable food items. Please join us tomorrow and help us fill these vans. In addition, we are working with Beachmere Inn in Ogunquit to bring 15 people from New Jersey back to Maine to stay a week at no cost to them! We need your help to fill these vans, please come donate what you can!"

This morning they had already filled two vans and were working on the third!  They are still accepting donations untill 4PM Saturday.  They plan to roll out at Midnight on Saturday with the three full vans.
