The following services are free to the public and available at the CareerCenter. All require pre-registration or an individual appointment made in person or by phone at 596-2600 unless otherwise noted.
**Career Directions** - Explore your career interests, aptitudes, values, personality, and motivations, and see how they connect to todays job market. By appointment.
**Resume and Cover Letter Writing** - Learn the basics of how to evaluate or create an effective resume and cover letter. By appointment.
**Effective Interviewing Skills** - Learn some ideas to make your next job interview more effective. By appointment.
**Planning Your Job Search** - The latest tips and ideas for a successful job search in todays labor market. By appointment.
**Computer Boot Camp** - To introduce computer basics to people who have never used one before. By appointment.
**Vocational Rehabilitation Orientation** - Introduction to services for jobseekers who feel they have a disability that makes it difficult to obtain or keep a job. By appointment. Call 596-2641.
**Training Program Information** - For details about training in various occupations, call Workforce Solutions at 930-7047 or the CareerCenter at 596-2600. Please note, eligibility requirements apply.
**Employer Services** - To learn about no-cost services including Hiring Assistance, Workforce Training Workers, Labor Law Assistance, Layoffs, and Workplace Health and Safety, call 596-2600.

CareerCenters, part of the Maine Department of Labor, offer a variety of services to help people find employment or upgrade skills. Each center provides several public-access computer workstations with Microsoft Office software, resume writing and cover letter software, Internet access and ONet software for skills assessment. All CareerCenter services are free of charge.
