Portland, Maine - Kyle Hart held the Bowie Baysox (26-29) to just one run over seven innings and the Sea Dogs (21-36) took the middle game of the three game series 5-1 on Wednesday night at Hadlock Field.
Hart (W, 4-3) worked his fourth straight quality start and lowered his season ERA to 2.81 in the process. The southpaw allowed five hits while walking one.
The Sea Dogs took a 2-0 lead early on a two-run double by Luke Tendler off of Lucas Long (L, 1-6). Tender hit a sac fly in the fourth and doubled again in the seventh and finished 2-for-2 with three RBIs.
Josh Ockimey hit his eighth homer of the season to lead off the fourth off of Long. Ockimey also doubled, walked, and scored twice.
Long allowed five runs (four earned) on five hits in 6.1 innings, he walked two and struck out two.
Jordan Weems pitched a scoreless eighth for Portland and Trevor Kelley shut the door with a perfect ninth.

Portland, Maine - Jayson Aquino allowed one run over six innings and the Bowie Baysox (26-28) took the series opener over the Sea Dogs (20-36) 5-1 on Tuesday night at Hadlock Field.
Aquino allowed just one unearned run on two hits over six-plus innings of work, he walked two and fanned six.
Bowie got on the board in the top of the second on a two-out, two-run single by D'Arby Myers off of Dedgar Jimenez (L, 1-4).
Anthony Santander added to the lead when he led off the sixth with a solo homer off of Jimenez over the Maine Monster. Later in the inning Martin Cervenka hit an RBI single to plate Ryan Mountcastle to put Bowie ahead 4-0.
Jimenez allowed four earned runs on seven hits in six innings, while walking three and striking out four. The southpaw threw a season-high 105 pitches.
The Sea Dogs plated their lone run in the bottom of the seventh when Jhon Nunez reached on an error by the shortstop Erick Salcedo that allowed Josh Ockimey to score.
Bowie plated three more runs in the ninth off of Kevin McAvoy to pad their lead at 7-1.
Luis Gonzalez (S, 6) pitched the final three innings for Bowie to earn the save. Gonzalez didn't allow a hit and struck out three while walking two.

Stankiewicz earns fifth win/Matheny 4-for-4, 2 RBI
Harrisburg, Pa. - Tate Matheny went 4-for-4, 2 RBI and Teddy Stankiewicz (W, 5-5) fired six strong innings, as the Portland Sea Dogs (20-35) defeated the Harrisburg Senators (27-27), 6-2 on Sunday afternoon at FNB Field. Portland took two of three in the series and finished their trip at 3-3.
Austin Rei gave the Sea Dogs a 1-0 lead by hitting the first pitch of the third inning over the right-field wall. In the fourth inning, Nick Lovullo reached on a throwing error by the third baseman to plate home two.
Stankiewicz earned his team-leading fifth win, working six innings on three hits, two runs, four walks and four strikeouts. The lone blemish was a two-run homer by Adam Brett Walker in the fourth.
Deiner Lopez delivered an RBI groundout in the sixth and Matheny nailed a two-run single in the eighth inning.
Portland's bullpen trio of Travis Lakins, Jordan Weems, and Josh Taylor closed out the win with three scoreless on one hit and fanned seven. Harrisburg's top five hitters went a combined 0-for-18.

Kent earns first quality start/Career nights for Lovullo and Witte
Harrisburg, Pa. - The Portland Sea Dogs (19-35) scored five times in the fourth inning and never looked back, defeating the Harrisburg Senators (27-26), 14-5 on Saturday night at FNB Field. Portland set a new season high with 14 runs and tied a season-high with 17 hits.
Matt Kent (3-3) snapped a two-game losing streak, working 6.1 innings on four hits, three runs, and six strikeouts to earn the win. Kent picked up his first Double-A quality start.
Nick Lovullo and Jantzen Witte had career nights for the 'Dogs. Lovullo picked up his first career 4-hit game and Witte knocked in five runs for the first time in his professional career.
Portland knocked Luis Reyes (L, 4-6) out of the game in the fourth inning, as he allowed eight runs on nine hits in 3+ innings to suffer the loss.
Danny Mars gave Portland a 1-0 lead with a two-out solo homer in the second. Mars hit his first homer and finished 2-for-5 with three runs scored. In the third inning, the 'Dogs added two runs on run-scoring doubles from Josh Ockimey (2-for-5) and Luke Tendler.
In the fourth, Jeremy Rivera continues his hot hitting with an RBI single. Witte added a two-run hit, and Tate Matheny delivered a two-run double.
Rivera and Witte added the finishing touches in the ninth inning. Rivera knocked in a run with a single and Witte clobbered a three-run homer.
Josh Smith closed out the game for Portland, allowing two runs (one earned) over 2.2 innings pitched.
