Sorbello claims CCC Runner of the Week

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -- University of New England women's cross country member Brittney Sorbello has been named as the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Runner of the Week for the period ending October 11.

The junior received her second weekly distinction of the year from the CCC after leading the Nor'easters to the team title in a 39-team field at the James Earley Invitational. Sorbello clocked a time of 18:26 over the 5K course to finish fourth as an individual. Big Blue ended up one point clear of Williams College to capture the crown.
