BANGOR, Maine - Husson scored three first-half goals Saturday evening en route to a 3-1 win over Johnson State (Vt.) in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) action at Boucher Field. The Eagles win their fifth-straight over the Badgers and are unbeaten in the last six matchups. The Green and Gold have won eight-straight home matches and are 4-0 at Boucher Field this year.
Jimmy Fitzpatrick (1) scored first for Husson (5-3, 2-1) in the 20th minute off assists by Cam Libbey andStephen Berenyi. Brady White (1) made the score 2-0 in the 36th minute on a header off a Dylan Wetmorecorner kick. Mike Curtis (2) increased the margin to three goals one minute later with aid by Josh Bean.
Johnson State (2-7, 1-3 NAC) scored its lone goal 30 seconds before halftime when Akeem Pottinger found the back of the net on a Dominic Caforia cross into the box.
Husson outshot Johnson State 34-11 and held a 10-1 edge in corner kicks.
Goalkeeper Steven Paquette (2-1) made three saves in the win.
Netminder Alex Pakatar (2-7) recorded 13 saves in 87:08 before picking up a red card. Sean Springer played the final 2:52 in net in the loss.
Husson's Phil Frost had a game-high six shots.
Husson hosts Lyndon State (Vt.) on Sunday at 3:30 p.m. ET.
