Two ‘Ladies’ Host Camden Harbor Ghost Tour Aug. 29
Two well-known midcoast “ladies” have teamed up to offer a completely new way for guests to enjoy an evening cruise - a Camden Harbor Ghost Tour.Sally Lobkowicz, the Lady in the Red Cloak of Red Cloak Haunted History Tours, will board the tour boat Lively Lady of Camden Harbor Cruises for a full moon excursion filled with tales of seacoast hauntings.
Motoring along under the moonlight, guests will hear chilling tales of ghosts, lost treasure, superstitions, area history, UFOs, lighthouse lore and perhaps see the apparition of a ghostly clipper ship said to haunt the waters of Penobscot Bay.
The Lively Lady is a wooden motor vessel designed as a lobster boat and built by Robert F. Rich at Bass Harbor Boatshop on Mount Desert Island in 1971. She is now operated by Camden Harbor Cruises.
Red Cloak Haunted History Tours is the largest company of its kind in Maine, with well-established tours in Bath, Wiscasset, Boothbay Harbor, Hallowell, Damariscotta, Rockland and Camden; and a new tour in Bar Harbor launched this season. The company opened in 2007, with Damariscotta as the first tour location. The lantern-lit walking tours led by the Lady in the Red Cloak opened in Camden in 2009.
