Live Art Auction at Slates Restaurant on July 19 will benefit the Harlow Gallery

Hallowell, Maine - Area art collectors are invited to attend a live art auction fundraiser at Slates Restaurant on Sunday, July 19 starting at 5pm. Proceeds will support programming at the Harlow Gallery, a 52 year old arts non-profit based in downtown Hallowell. Expect fast paced fun, free refreshments, silent auction tables and a cash bar. The event is free and open to the public. Hosted by Harlow Gallery's Board of Directors, with Perry McCourtney as master of ceremonies and auctioneer, the auction will feature exceptional original art by some of the region's finest artists, including:

Karen Jordan Allen , Nancy Keenan Barron, Aleana Chaplin, James Chute, Betsy Cook, Matt Demers, David Estey, Helene Farrar, Jeanne Finley, Tanya Fletcher, Kathleen Florance, Ross Grams, Pamela Hetherly, Judy Herman, Eddie (Poet) Leaman, Penny Markley, Allison McKeen, Abbott Meader, Kay Morris, Anita Morrissey, Jennifer Paisley, Marc Poirier, Matthew Russ, Judith Schuppien, Malley Weber, and more to be announced.

Absentee bids by email, phone or post will be accepted through Friday, July 17th at 6pm. For more information, including preview of the art to be auctioned, visit www.harlowgallery.org. The Harlow Gallery was recently voted "Best Gallery in Maine 2015" by readers of Down East Magazine. Auction proceeds will help ensure the nonprofit Harlow Gallery will be promoting the arts in central Maine for another 50 years.
