“Golden Shorts,” three short documentaries screened in the Camden Amphitheatre, 7:45 pm, co-hosted by Camden International Film Festival and the Camden Public Library, on topics of aging. Free. Bring blankets or chairs for seating. Rain location: Picker Room.

Indoor Book Sale at the Camden Public Library, 9:00 am to 5:30 pm. A thousand books in many categories at bargain prices, to benefit the Library.

Monday, August 26

MOJO Jazz Orchestra performs an informal, free concert in the Camden Amphitheatre, 6:15 pm. MOJO is a group of musicians from mid-coast Maine bound together by a passion for big band music. Bring blankets or chairs for seating.

Terry Cline presents “Health By Design: Architecture as a Health Resource for All,” a free workshop at the Camden Public Library, 7:00 pm. Call 236-3440 to register.

Richard Cornelia presents an illustrated talk on “The True Story of the Mutiny on the Bounty,” 1:00 pm at the Camden Public Library, as part of Windjammer Festival.


Tuesday, September 3

Opening reception for Linda Shepard, the Artist of the Month at the Camden Public Library, 5:00 to 8:00 pm. Shepard creates large, colorful, intricate, and bold fabric art; her show is titled “Creature Features,” a collection of whimsical and colorful fish, reptiles, butterflies, insects, birds, and beasts. This exhibition will be the very first art show for Linda Shepard. Shepard’s studio is in her home in Union.


Wednesday, September 4

Midcoast Stroke Support Group meeting at the Camden Public Library, 10:00 am. All are welcome.


Thursday, September 5

John and Rachel Nicholas perform at the Camden Library Coffeehouse on September 5, 7:00 pm, to kcik off the Coffeehouse season. David Dodson will be the Special Guest. $5 admission, $4 for seniors & students.
