Rockland, Maine - The Georges River Land Trust and the Coppola Salon & Day Spa offer “An Afternoon of Pampering” on Friday, April 26, from noon to 5 p.m. The event is part of the Land Trust’s 2013 Revelry for the River. This very special opportunity to enjoy a 30-minute facial, a 30-minute massage and a basic pedicure, followed by a glass of wine or other beverage with delicious hors d’oeuvres, is limited to 6 participants (two groups of three), and both Spa and Land Trust urge early registration.
Participants can choose from either of two sessions: noon to 2:30 p.m. or 2:30 to 5 p.m. The fee is $120 for Land Trust members and $130 for non-members. To register, phone the Land Trust at 594-5166 or online at www.georgesriver.org/revelry.
Coppola Salon & Day Spa owner Christina Coppola Harris opened the salon and day spa in 2007, committed to providing a variety of hair, skin, nail, and body treatments. Its knowledgeable and professional staff is up to date on newest styles, trends and techniques. Stylists take a multitude of classes every year, varying from cutting to creative color. Owner Christina Harris is a Certified Goldwell Color Specialist. In addition to stylists, staff includes a massage therapist, aesthetician, and nail technician.
The George River Land Trust’s 2013 Revelry for the River encompasses a full year of diverse activities. Next on May 8 is an Antiques Appraisal Party, featuring specialist Kaja Veilleux. Other events include photography, gourmet food and exclusive visits to lesser known watershed and coastal places -- all showcasing the beauty of the St. George River watershed and continuing the celebration of the Land Trust’s conservation success in mid-coast Maine in its 26th year.
