Lund has planned a fascinating musical evening at the library on Thursday, May 9, at 7:00 pm, from the world of opera and classical song, featuring recordings of arias, duets, and songs. The event will be held in the Reading Room. Some of the featured composers will be Puccini, Delibes, Massenet, Verdi, and more; singers featured will be Bidu Sayao, Giuseppe Di Stefano, Maria Callas, Zinka Milanov, Anna Moffo, Mado Robin, Henri Legay, Jon Vickers, Giulio Neri, Paul Robeson, and more. The event is free.

Michael Paul Lund is a trained baritone and has performed in Asia, Canada, Mexico, and the United States. He studied with famed French baritone Gerard Souzay, and has sung at Carnegie Hall, the French Embassy, Art Alliance in Philadelphia, and for the president of Japan at Tokyo Town Center. Lund has delivered illustrated music talks all over the country, including libraries, schools, and historical societies. He has done radio commentary on stations coast to coast, including his two-hour specials on WGBH in Boston.
