Phenomenal Touch Massage Demonstration March 19

In conjunction with their photography exhibit, “Body as Art,” which will be on display throughout the month of March, Antje Roitzsch and Deborah Cautela will present a “Phenomenal Touch” massage demonstration on Tuesday, March 19, at 7:00 pm at the Camden Public Library. Antje Roitzsch is a licensed Massage Therapist, Master Phenomenal Touch Practitioner, and artist. Deborah Cautela has a bachelor’s degree in Social Work, 5Rhythms Movement Therapist and Advanced Phenomenal Touch Practitioner.

“Our intentions for offering a Phenomenal Touch Demonstration at the Camden Public Library is to show the community how beautiful the body is as an art form as well as to show how people can benefit from this form of love disguised as massage,” said Roitszch. “The exhibit in the Picker Room was inspired by the sense of reverence and honor to work with different bodies and body types, treasuring and celebrating each and every one of them. It captures the dance between the receiver and giver of touch. Likewise the live demonstration invites a rare glimpse into the intimate process of connection, trust, and surrender, to welcome the receiver back into their body.” The demonstration will be enhanced by poetry read by Barry Portney. The model will be Karen Mack. After the live demo there will be a chance to ask questions and receive more information on Phenomenal Touch and its practitioners.

“Phenomenal Touch is a unique technique to work with the body: massaging, unfolding, finding a new connection to the self, using cradling, falling, catching, deep listening. Changes develop through stretching and the process of trust and touching and have a deep effect on breath, inner peace, and relaxation. Phenomenal Touch is a dance between giver and receiver. PT is hard to explain, beautiful to watch, and even nicer to receive,” says Roitzsch.
