Keeping Your Child Happy and Healthy
Naturopathic Medicine and Kids March 11
“Keeping Your Child Happy and Healthy through Naturopathic Medicine”
Naturopathic medicine is based on the principle that the body has an innate healing ability. Naturopathic doctors teach their patients to use diet, exercise, lifestyle changes, and natural therapies to enhance their bodies’ ability to ward off and prevent disease. Dr. Deb Moskowitz will present a talk on naturopathic medicine and kids at the Wellness Series talk on Monday, March 11, at 12:00 noon at the Camden Public Library.
Since over 80% of chronic illnesses in this country are preventable, what better time to start someone on a path to lifelong health than when they’re young. Dr. Moskowitz has practiced naturopathic medicine for twenty years and has helped hundreds of children and their parents overcome acute illnesses and learn to become healthier and happier individuals. This talk will provide an overview on “Keeping Your Child Happy and Healthy through Naturopathic Medicine.” Topics to be touched on in this talk include treating and preventing colds and flu, support for the allergic child, nutritional strategies for ADD/ADHD, and more. For in-depth information about how naturopathic medicine can benefit your child, please feel free to schedule a free 15-minute “meet and greet” appointment with Moskowitz at 230-1131 to discuss your child’s individual needs.
The free talk is another in the Wellness Brown Bag Lunch series, a collaboration between the Library and the Penobscot Bay Regional Chamber of Commerce, held on the second Monday of each month at noon.
