Peter Gross and Robert G. Hirsch Receive Honors

Camden, ME – December 16, 2012 -- The Camden Rotary Club recently awarded Paul Harris Fellowships to Peter Gross of Camden and Dr. Robert G. Hirsch of Owls Head. The awards, named for Rotary Founder Paul Harris, were given in recognition of outstanding community service.
Gross, a Camden-based architect, has contributed to Camden Town government and area nonprofits for many years.  He has served on the Camden Select Board, Planning Board and as a Camden Public Library Trustee. More recently, he has worked as chairman of the Camden Economic Development Advisory Committee (CEDAC) and the Camden Downtown Master Plan. Peter has also served the Maine Center for Contemporary Art, the MidCoast Economic Development District, the Douglas Thom Memorial Scholarship Fund, Habitat for Humanity and many other organizations.

Hirsch, former Global Managing Director for DuPont’s Intellectual Assets & Technology Licensing Business, is an executive consultant in licensing and intellectual property commercialization, research and development and business management.  He is a past president of the Camden Conference on Foreign Affairs and is on the boards of the Maine Coast Economic Alliance and the Many Flags/One Campus educational foundation.
