Maine Artists Collective Holidays


Maine Artists Collective Demonstrations Planned for Holidays

Portland-The month of December will be busy for many members of the Maine Artists Collective (MAC) as three more demonstration events have been added to the calendar.  Constellation Gallery, 511 Congress St. in Portland, is offering "Arts and Crafts Activities in the Heart of Portland" on Saturday, Dec 8th from 10:00 until 6:00 pm.  On the Downtown District's Merry Madness night for shoppers, Dec 13th, Tatia  Dichiara and Frank Gruber will offer "Charcoal Demonstrations" at  4:30 pm, 6:30 pm and  8:30pm.  Dichiara and Gruber will also offer "Acrylic Painting Demonstrations",  Sunday, Dec 16th  at 1:00 and 3:00 pm.
The final event of the holiday season is the Winter Solstice Open Studio,  Friday December 21 from 4pm to 8pm featuring resident artisan & jewelry designer Kim Wilder, working on her original Gemstone and Freshwater Pearl necklaces, bracelets, & earrings set in Sterling Silver.  Other talented members of MAC including David Marshall, Tatia DiChiara, Frank Gruber, and Anthony Marino, will be working in a variety of media from oil to watercolor. The Open Studio is free and open to the public and light refreshments will be served. For more information, call the Gallery at 207-409-6617.

The mission of the Maine Artist Collective is to connect the public with Maine artists and support development by providing exhibition and studio space, education, and professional workshops.
