December Events at Lithgow Public Library

Augusta, Maine - All events are free and open to the public. Please contact the library for more information: 626-2415 or www.lithgow.lib.me.us. The library is located at 45 Winthrop Street, across from the former YMCA. The library is open Monday - Thursday: 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Saturday: 9:00 a.m. to Noon.

Toddler Time 10 a.m., Youth Services
Sing songs, listen to stories, and learn nursery rhymes while interacting with your child and other care providers.

December 5
Family Story Time 10 a.m., Youth Services
Stories, educational activities and art projects for children ages 3-5 and their care givers.

December 6
Legos at the Library 3:30 p.m., Youth Services
Join us for fun Lego building sessions with other Lego lovers! We will meet the 1st Thursday of the month, at 3:30 p.m. in Youth Services. Legos will be provided.

December 7
Incredible Infants 10 a.m., Youth Services
Enjoy stories, songs and finger plays at this story time for infants and their care givers.

Sing songs, listen to stories, and learn nursery rhymes while interacting with your child and other care providers.

Craft Afternoon  3:30 p.m., Youth Services
Come join us for a fun, creative afternoon of cutting, gluing, stamping, weaving, drawing, etc.! All ages welcome! Children 6 and under will need adult supervision. This program is hosted the 2nd Tuesday of the month, until June.  This month we will be making ice cream cone trees!

Stories, educational activities and art projects for children ages 3-5 and their care givers.

A Children's Holiday Celebration! 3:30 p.m., Youth Services
Come celebrate the holidays of the season on Wednesday, December 12th from 3:30-4:30PM in the Youth Services Department.  There will be crafts and snacks celebrating Kwanzaa, Hanukkah and Christmas.  This event is free and open to the public.

Food For Thought 6 p.m., Youth Services
Children’s book discussion group for ages 3-8 to share books, recipes, food and fun! Each child and their adult partner will sign-up to choose a food related book to read together and bring the food as a snack to share with others, as well as discuss the book and/or the recipe.

The Lithgow Public Library will be closed in observance of Christmas. We will re-open on Wednesday at 9 a.m.

December 27
School Break Event! 10 a.m. Youth Services
Looking for something to do during winter break?  If so, come to the Youth Services Department on Thursday, December 27th from 10:00-11:00AM for a craft and snack.  While here, see our latest books, CDs, DVDs and audio books!  This event is free, open to the public and recommended for children 6 and up. Pre-registration is required. Please contact Youth Services to reserve your spot today!
