Camden Rotary Awards Major Grant to Mid-Coast Recovery Coalition
Camden, ME -- July 17, 2017 -- Camden Rotary Club has awarded a $10,000 grant to the Mid-Coast Recovery Coalition to support the coalition's program for helping Knox County families break the cycle of addiction.
Pictured here (left to right) are Richard Householder, chair of the club’s charitable grants committee; Mid-Coast Recovery Coalition Founder Dr. Ira Mandel; and Camden Rotary President Barry Timms. This, the
largest grant to be awarded by the club this year, is dedicated to the memory of longtime Camden Rotarian Parker S. Laite, Sr. The Recovery Coalition was also selected to receive a special youth-oriented grant of $5,000,
which will be used to help the children of families struggling with addiction. The club’s annual grant program supports local nonprofit organizations throughout Knox County and Lincolnville. Applications for next
year’s grants will be available in January.
