The Youth Council is Bringing Lewiston History & Its Music Alive on December 3rd

Lewiston, Maine - The Lewiston Memorial Armory will be the site of a “trip down memory lane” on Saturday evening, December 3, 2016, from 6 – 8 p.m.  The free event hosted by the Lewiston Youth Advisory Council (LYAC) is open to the public and will feature Lewiston’s history through its various musical eras.  A program is attached.

“Lewiston Remembers Its Musical Eras” was planned by LYAC as a positive way to unite generations through music and historical reflection.  LYAC Chair Jazy Dumas notes, “We have learned so much about Lewiston’s history while planning this event, and we are proud of Lewiston’s past and its present.”

The evening will include a slideshow about Lewiston, era dance demonstrations, “I Remember When” audience interviews, era refreshments, era music by DJ-Brian C, a musical finale by Weatherhead, and a look back at the PALHOP.
