52 Weeks of Giving” Holiday “Good Works” for Kids at Blue Hill Public Library

Blue Hill, Maine - Blue Hill Public Library’s Youth Services Librarian Libby Edwardson will be holding two events for her “52 Weeks of Giving” program where kids can make a positive impact on their community by doing volunteer projects.  On Saturday December 10th from 2:00 to 4:00 PM, kids will wrap presents purchased by Friends of Blue Hill Public Library for local children in need.  On Friday December 23rd from 10:00 AM to noon, the kids will write and deliver notes of thanks, along with holiday cookies to hospital employees who have to work over the holidays.

The library is also looking for home-baked cookie donations to be dropped off on Thursday December 22nd at the library, Libby says that the goal of 52 Weeks of Giving is “to instill in the kids a belief that they can make a difference.” For more information contact Libby Edwardson at 374-5515.
