Blue Hill Library Film: The Lady Eve

Blue Hill, Maine - The Friends of the Blue Hill Public Library Film Series will continue with The Lady Eve (1941), starring Barbara Stanwyck and Henry Fonda, on Thursday, December 8th at 7:00 PM at the Library. The film is a “screwball comedy,” written and directed by Preston Sturges, and based on a story by Monckton Hoffe. In the film a con woman meets the handsome heir to a brewery fortune on an oceanliner, and tricks him into marrying her but ends up falling for him.
