How the Grinch Stole Christmas to be screened as Annual Free Holiday Movie

Rockland, Maine - How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000), will be screened as the annual free admission holiday movie at the Strand Theatre, 345 Main Street, on Saturday, December 17 at 3pm. Doors will open at 2:30pm.

The curmudgeonly recluse Grinch, who hates Christmas, becomes annoyed with the out-of-control Christmas festivities in Whoville, the town lying below his cave dwelling on Mt. Crumpit. But after the Grinch conspires to deprive the Who's of their favorite holiday by sneaking into town on Christmas eve to steal everything associated with the holiday, he learns that the spirit of Christmas goes much deeper than tinsel and toys. Directed by Ron Howard. Starring Jim Carrey, Taylor Momsen, Jeffrey Tambor, Kelly the dog. Narrated by Anthony Hopkins.
