Mary Herman to Speak at Grand Opening of New
Midcoast Hunger Prevention Program Building

BRUNSWICK, ME – Midcoast Hunger Prevention Program (MCHPP) announced today that it will hold a Grand Opening celebration for its building renovation and expansion on November 18th and Mary Herman will speak at the event at 9:15 am. Karen Parker, Executive Director of MCHPP, Pender Makin, Assistant Superintendent of Brunswick Schools, and Phil Coupe, Founder of Revision Energy will speak as well and be available for questions following the press conference.

MCHPP recently concluded a $625,000 expansion project, which included adding a client waiting room and significantly increasing the organization’s food storage space. In addition, MCHPP added a new walk-in freezer and refrigerator to accommodate a growing need for cold food storage, a result of strengthened partnerships with local farmers.

"We are so excited to share our new and improved space with the public and to thank those who helped make it possible," said Karen Parker, Executive Director. "This expansion will allow MCHPP to continue to grow, continue to thrive, and continue to feed hungry people in this community for years to come.”

Join MCHPP for the Grand Opening on November 18th from 9-10am at their location at 12 Tenney Way in Brunswick.
