CMCA Thanks Rockland, Sunday, November 27, with Free Admission for Rockland Residents and More!
Rockland, Maine – The Center for Maine Contemporary Art (CMCA) invites Rockland residents of all ages to visit the new CMCA at 21 Winter Street free of charge on Sunday, November 27, from 1 to 5pm, as a part of the community event, “CMCA Thanks Rockland.”In addition to free admission to the galleries, throughout the afternoon there will be a 10% sale on all items in the CMCA Shop, as well as raffles, refreshments, and free hands-on holiday projects to create in ArtLab.
CMCA director, Suzette McAvoy says, “In this season of thanks, CMCA would like to thank its new community for welcoming us to our new home. In the five months we have been open at 21 Winter Street, we have had nearly 13,000 visitors, and we look forward to welcoming many more in 2017.”
Currently on view at CMCA is the 2016 Biennial Exhibition featuring the work of twenty-five artists from across Maine. The Biennial has been made possible in part by the support of Allen Insurance and Financial and CHUBB.
