The Camden Philosophical Society hosts a discussion on “Heidegger and the Pope on Technology and the Environment” at the regular Reading Group session, 4:00 pm at the Camden Public Library. All who enjoy a good discussion are welcome.
The Juke Rockets will bring their high-energy blues to the Camden Amphitheatre at 7:00 pm. Bring blankets or chairs for comfortable seating, and shoes for dancing! The concert is free, although we will pass the hat. The Juke Rockets band is made up of powerhouse lead vocalist Carlene Thornton, rhythm section Steve Mellor on bass and Tim Woitowitz on drums, and bluesman extraordinaire Ron Casillo playing the tastiest guitar licks north of the chitlin circuit.

Author Jim Krosschell will present “Owls Head Revisited” at the Camden Public Library at 7:00 pm. The book will be published in early July by North Country Press. Krosschell has been coming to Maine for 30 years and is author of the blog, “One Man’s Maine.”

Bicycle Film Tour: Miho Aida presents a short film, “Gwich’in Women Speak,” 4:00 pm at the Camden Public Library. Aida is making a bike tour from Washington, DC, through Camden to Bar Harbor.
Annual Summer Book Sale Under the Tents at the Camden Public Library. Volunteers organize and run the sale of donated books to benefit the book fund at the library. 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
