Bunk'd Pilot Episode Premieres Tonight, July 31st

In the premiere episode of 'Bunk'd' tonight, Friday, July 31st, the Ross kids arrive at camp. The camp’s owner, Gladys, is even scarier than the legendary creature that’s rumored to stalk the grounds. With the help of her sneaky niece Hazel, she’s out to get the Ross kids because of her decades-old rivalry with their mom.

"BUNK'D" follows siblings Emma, Ravi and Zuri Ross as they embark on their summer at Camp Kikiwaka, a rustic summer camp in Maine where their parents met as teenagers. Emma and Ravi step into new roles as CITs (Counselor In Training), learning how to be resourceful, responsible role models to their campers. Lou, the cheerful head counselor, and Xander, the camp heartthrob, befriend the Ross kids, who are complete fish out of water in the great outdoors, and step in to show them the ropes. Zuri makes new friends with her fellow campers, the anxious and overly studious Tiffany and compulsive fibber Jorge. Along with their new friends, Emma, Ravi and Zuri adapt to their new "home away from home" and settle into their exciting new lives at Camp Kikiwaka.

195th Maine Army National Guard Band, Maine Lobster Festival Performers

Rockland, Maine - The 195th Maine Army National Guard Band, 30 members strong, stationed out of Bangor, Maine performed at the 68th Maine Lobster Festival on Thursday, July 30th, 2015 in Rockland, Maine.

According to their website, The 195th Army National Guard Band is comprised of musicians from all over the state of Maine. The 195th offers a wide array of performing groups, including a full concert band, marching band, brass quintet, sax quartet jazz combo and a rock group.

Their mission, "To provide music throughout the full spectrum of military operations and instill in our Soldiers the will to fight and win, foster the support of our citizens, and promote our national interests at home and abroad." This mission may be slightly modified to fit the needs and exigencies of the State of Maine, by order of the Governor. The 195th Army Band promotes readiness by performing music. They provide music that promotes troop morale, unit esprit, and civil military operations. The Band provides music for troop gatherings and activities, military and religious ceremonies (IAW AR 165-1), civil affairs, disaster relief, and psychological operations. The 195th also performs for a broad array of community events such as "Home Days", parades, community concerts, commissionings etc.

This thirty member band sounded great as they performed at the 68th Maine Lobster Festival.

Sylvain's Acadian Aces Takes On Maine Lobster Festival Stage

Rockland, Maine - With Acadian Cajun Zydeco genre of music, the band Sylvain's Acadian Aces, Cajun Aces, took to the main stage at the 68th Maine Lobster Festival on Thursday, July 30th, 2015 in Rockland, Maine.

Members that make up this band are Robert Sylvain, vocals, Dobro Haakon Kallweit, fiddle, vocals, Junior Stevens, button-box accordian, Tom Jacques, upright bass and Kris Day on drums.

According to their Facebook page, "Sylvain's Acadian Aces keeps the ‘cajun flame alive in old Acadie with an energetic brand of raw, rootsy 'cajun music derived directly from the source. The vocal power of guitarist Robert Sylvain and charismatic fiddler Hawk Kallweit supplies a one-two punch that’s instantly compelling and distinctive. Jackie Thorbjornson Crowned 2015 Maine Sea Goddess

Rockland, Maine - Jacquelyn Olivia Thorbjornson of South Thomaston was crowned as the 2015 Maine Sea Goddess during the 68th annual Maine Lobster Festival coronation on Wednesday, July 29th, 2015.


Jacquelyn Olivia Thorbjornson of South Thomaston is a 2015 graduate of Oceanside High School. She is the daughter of Melanie and David Eaton and Edward Thorbjornson.  Her school activities included Key Club, Math Team, Student government, Field Hockey (4 yrs), Basketball, Indoor Track, Tennis, Cross Country, Drama Department, (Musical and One Act), Life Skills Peer Helper, Unified Basketball Team and National Honor Society.  Her hobbies are Running, beach combing, Kayaking, hiking, fishing, creative writing, Pilates and Volunteering for many groups.  She is employed at Waterman's Beach Lobster.  Her future plans are to attend Princeton University and earn a degree in Biology.  Jacquelyn's sponsor's are Waterman's Beach Lobster of So. Thomaston and Heartspot Stables of Thomaston.

King Neptune, His Court, Blackbeard & 2014 Sea Goddess Opens The 68th Annual Maine Lobster Festival

Rockland, Maine - King Neptune arrived at the public landing to open the 68th annual Maine Lobster Festival on Wednesday, July 29th, 2015 in Rockland, Maine. Joining him were his court, Blackbeard, raising of the flag and the 2014 Sea Goddess Abby Hersom.

Rockland, Maine - Thousands of people from all over the world will flock to the 68th annual Maine Lobster Festival in Rockland, Maine's harbor park. This year's festival kicks off today, Wednesday, July 29th, 2015, noon sharp, ending Sunday, August 2nd, 2015 at 6pm.

There will be things for everyone to enjoy such as Coronation, crowning of a new Sea Goddess on Wednesday, opening night, music from top local and national performers, parade on Saturday down Rockland's main street, food from several vendors, rides for all ages provided by Smokey's Greater Shows, watching lobsters being cooked at the large lobster cooker, activities for all ages and more.
