Film Still from Winged Migration |
At 6pm, “Winged Migration” will be screened; the award-winning documentary by acclaimed French director Jacques Perrin explores the mystery of birds’ flight and migratory patterns. Filmed over the course of 3 years, on all 7 continents, it utilized numerous innovative techniques to allow the filmmakers to fly alongside, above, below and in front of the birds. The result is a film of staggering beauty that opens viewers’ eyes to the wonders of the natural world. Following the film, a naturalist from the Georges River Land Trust will share his knowledge about local bird habitats and conservation efforts. Doors will open at 5:30pm.
Admission to the day’s events is free, thanks to the generosity of our sponsors Revision Energy, Evergreen Home Performance, and Plants Unlimited.
