Portland's own spring regatta for traditional sail, Portland SchoonerFest and Regatta kicks off the summer sailing season on the solstice weekend with SEVEN traditional schooners parading under sail on Friday, June 21 and racing on Saturday, June 22 and Sunday, June 23.
This year's fleet includes some of the most famous schooners in the country including
131' Harvey Gamage of Portland
Schooner Adventure of Gloucester, MA
Schooner Alert of Bailey Island
Marine Maritime Museum's Schooner Mary E
These classics are racing against hometown favorites Bagheera, Wendameen & Timberwind, an original Portland pilot schooner.
The fleet continues on with the Casco Bay Gaffers Race to Bailey Island on Monday, June 24.
