June Book Sale at Camden Public Library

Camden, Maine - Camden Public Library is holding its June Book Sale on June 14, 15, & 16.   The books will be on sale both indoors and outdoors at the Blue Door Book Shed adjacent to the parking lot reached from Atlantic Avenue, just past the Library's Amphitheater on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, from 9 to 4 each day. The sale will have books for all ages and tastes, and the tables will be restocked each evening to ensure that there’s a full selection to choose from no matter which day you shop.

The Library another significant donation of books both new and old last month, and these new donations will be featured in the sale. Volunteers will be stocking the tables with everything from Maine guide books to fiction written by authors from around the world. There will be a full table of books for children of all ages, and as well as a fabulous array of non-fiction sorted across over 20 categories, including Biographies, Histories, Cooking, Humor, Pets and Gardening. There will also be a nice selection of puzzles, CDs and DVDs for sale.

The book sales, which are held throughout the year, generate significant income for the Camden Public Library; during the most recent fiscal year they contributed more than $30,000 to the Library’s operating budget, and this year they are on track to do the same again. This could not be done without support from the community both through donating books to the library so that they can be sold, and by buying books, CDs and DVDs at the sales.

The Camden Public Library is happy to accept donations of nice, well cared for books of any age and for any age (though please no books with mold or mildew) at the Book Shed most Tuesdays between 9 and Noon throughout the year. Call CPL for more information 207-236-3440.
