NEW LONDON, Conn. - The Bates women's soccer team (5-4-2, 2-2-2) rallied from two goals down to stun Connecticut College (1-6-3, 0-4-3) by a final score of 4-3 on Saturday.

Leah Humes scored the final two goals of the game including the game-winner in the 88th minute.
Connecticut jumped on top early in the first half in the fourth minute as Alex Baltazar scored on a failed clear attempt by the Bobcats.

The Camels struck again in the 14th minute as Amanda Proulx drilled a free kick in the net from just
over 18 yards away.

But the Bobcats would not be denied as Olivia Amdur scored in the 35th minute on a header. Libby Masalsky's cross set up Amdur perfectly for the goal.

In the 42nd minute, Cassidy McCarns scored a beautiful goal from just over 18 yards out to even the game at two.

The Camels took the lead again in the second half as Baltazar scored her second goal of the match to put Connecticut up 3-2 in the 66th minute.

Bates staged their dramatic rally with only four minutes to go in the game. An Amdur cross set up Humes for the game-tying goal in the 86th minute as Humes headed it home.

In the 88th minute, Humes struck again. Amdur delivered another assist as her cross set up Humes who volleyed it home to give Bates the 4-3 lead.

Humes tallied six shots and two of her three shots on goal found the back of the net. Her five goals on the year lead the team. Amdur is now second on the team with four goals. Amdur's five assists pace the Bobcats this season.

The Camels only tallied four shots on goal in the match but were able to convert three of them. Bates finished with eight shots on goal.

The Bobcats will look to win back-to-back conference games and match their conference win total from last year as they welcome Tufts to town on Saturday, October 17. The match starts at noon.
