Free Variety Show for Mother’s Day at Strand on May 10

Rockland, Maine - An exciting multi-media tribute to mothers is coming to the Strand Theatre, 345 Main Street, on Sunday May 10 at 1pm. The WOW MOM Variety Show - A Celebration for Mother’s Day! features sing-alongs, animation, cartoons, a live band, singers, and more. The one-hour show is for children ages 4 - 12 and their mothers and grandmothers. Admission is free, and includes free gifts for moms.


The show is written, produced and hosted by John Burstein, the creator of Slim Goodbody (the costumed health crusader seen for many years on PBS and captain Kangaroo). Joining John will be band members Phil Clement, Jeff Densmore, and Max McFarland.  Lending their voices in honor of Mom is the acapella group,”The Offbeats.” Video was produced by the award winning production house, “goodfocus”, with animation by Bill Davis.
