Brunswick, ME—Mid Coast Health Services has appointed Linda A. MacMillan as Associate Director of Development. In this new role, MacMillan will coordinate development activities across the spectrum of services offered by Mid Coast and will oversee annual giving initiatives for the organization.

MacMillan’s previous positions include Vice President of Marketing at People’s United Bank and Director of Development at the Maine Maritime Museum in Bath. Along with expertise in marketing, communications, and development, she brings over 20 years of diverse experience working in multiple industries including not-for-profit organizations similar to Mid Coast Hospital.

“I am so grateful to draw upon my skills in marketing and development to benefit the health of our community,” said MacMillan. “I look forward to supporting Mid Coast’s mission to deliver high quality, affordable healthcare and acknowledge the role that we all play in supplementing this valuable community resource.”

Kara Johnson was recently named Director of Development at Mid Coast Health Services and hired MacMillan shortly thereafter. “We could not have found a better match to complete our team,” she said. “We are so fortunate to have Linda on board as we continue to foster new and existing relationships that support the great work of this organization.”

MacMillan, a Phippsburg resident, moved from Connecticut in 1998. She received a degree in Art and French from Albion College in Michigan and obtained a Masters in Synaesthetic (Art) Education from Syracuse University. Since moving to Maine, she has served several volunteer and board positions including Common Good Ventures, Volunteers of America, Southern Midcoast Maine Chamber, and the Portland Chamber of Commerce.
