CPR LEARNING STATION SET FOR ARTS FESTIVAL

BRUNSWICK, ME – On Saturday, August 17, The Southern Maine Chapter of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses, in association with the American Heart Association and Mid Coast Hospital, will be holding the first in a series of Sidewalk CPR events. The event will take place in conjunction with the Brunswick Downtown Association’s Outdoor Arts Festival, scheduled to take place throughout the downtown area starting at 9:00 a.m.

Sidewalk CPR offers a fun environment for attendees to learn the correct method of performing CPR, including hand placement, push techniques, and the importance of calling 911. The CPR station will provide hands-on practice with mannequins and one-on-one instruction. No appointments are necessary for the 5 to 10 minute lesson that will be offered free to the public.

Amy McLellan, RN, Mid Coast Nurse and President of the Southern Maine Chapter of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses said, “This will be a simple, fun, engaging way to spend the afternoon and you will learn how to save a life.”
