HOULTON - The Maine Department of Transportation will be installing count sensors on Route 1 (North Street) in Houlton. These sensors allow MaineDOT to accurately classify and count the number of vehicles using this highway throughout the year. The project area is near the intersection of Route 1 and Currier Road. Work is scheduled to begin at 7:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 21st. Northbound traffic will be impacted during the first half of the day. Southbound traffic will be impacted in the afternoon. All work should be done by the end of the day on Wednesday. In the event of bad weather, the work schedule may be shifted to Thursday, July 22nd.
